City ordinance requires property owners to cut grass and weeds. Property owners who allow grass and weeds to exceed one foot in height are sent a notice to cut the grass/weeds within five days. If the property owner fails to comply with the notice City crews will mow the property and bill the owner. Crews may be required to mow 65-70 properties each year. The current minimum charge is about $102 per lot, but the actual charge could be more depending on the amount of work involved. The City prefers not to be in the landscaping business and would much rather see property owners maintain their properties as required.

Residents can call the Engineering Department at 261-6740 to report uncut weeds or grass.
